Before Bram Stoker’s Dracula, bats have long been mysterious creatures of night across folklore in various cultures. Some thought bats to be bad omens, traveling to and from the underworld using portals within caves. Others admired bats abilities to navigate in the dark and that ability was seen as a symbol to tap into hidden wisdom and beyond what is visible. Others considered bats to be harbingers of good fortune and prosperity. ⁣

⁣To me, their presence in mythology serves as a reminder that darkness is not always to be feared.⁣

Details:

  • All necklaces are 18” in length and include a free 2” chain extender that will match your chain finish.

  • Hand carved and created in my home studio

  • SOLID .925 Sterling silver bat casting and chain

  • Bat is approximately 2.25” wide and 1.25” tall with a darkened satin finish

  • 7 x 9 mm gemstone (Side Note: I use natural cut gemstone which means any lines, indents or minor imperfections on the stone is normal)
